One Tree Hill is a TV drama series set in a small town of Tree Hill in North Carolina.This soup drama tells the story of two boys with completely different lifestyles, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty), who don't seem to have anything in common except for their love for basketball.Still, when they find themselves playing for the same high school team, the dark secret that they're half- brothers who share the same father will have to be revealed.

Lucas is a rich kid, an arrogant and self- assured high school star. An excellent basketball player, he is the only child of wealthy businessman,Dan (Paul Johansson),who,in turn, has had an unsuccessful basketball careerhimself and now has all his hopes in his son. When Lucas meets Nathan, his exact opposite in character and social status, he sees him as a rival on the court. But, the tension starts to grow in their private lives as well, since Peyton (Hilarie Burton), Lucas' girlfriend, seems to be finding a soulmate in Nathan.

Nathan, a quiet boy,raised by a single mom is not so well-to-do, but understands Payton who has lost a parent at an early age, more deeply and profoundly than Lucas ever will.He also has an understanding for her artistic soul and knows how to appreciate her art which she is still too shy to share.

And while the young are busy finding their own place under the Sun, the older generation is now again confronted with the residues of hard decisions made in the past. Dan is tortured by the sense of guilt for leaving his pregnant high school girlfriend Karen (Moira Kelly) to follow his sports career and by the fact that he has chosen to live his life denouncing his first born, Nathan ,and pretending that a part of his life has never happened.Furthermore, Karen who has devoted her life to raising Nathan,is afraid that she isn't going to be able to protect her son from the harsh reality of life anymore.

Tortured by the past and memories brought back is also the basketball coach Whitey (Barry Corbin).He regrets supporting Dan's decision to chase his career at the time when he was bound to Karen.Now being the coach of both brothers,Lucas and Nathan, and having a liking for each of them,he feels he has a strong moral responsibility to try and make things right.

On the whole the series is well worth seeing if you enjoy drama, since it can teach the viewer about the fair play, or lack of it,about the ways to correct one's own mistakes of the past and raise our own sense of morality in friendship as well as in family relations. One Tree Hill is a TVseries originally being broadcasted on CW channel.Regarding it's quality and popularity it is being viewed outside USA, worldwide. Unfortunately, a great number of fans do not have the privilege of watching CW channel.Secondly, a whole many people are at work during the broadcasting time, or otherwise unable to watch the episodes, or have simply missed some of them. Luckily,with modern streaming sites there is hope for those who wish to watch One Tree Hill online.
